Once again, if the tense is called Simple, this is extremely easy; so do not worry.

To make a phrase in Future Simple we need two Simple steps:

• We take “will” (I, you, we, they, she, he will = ’ll /will not = won’t)
• The old form “shall” for the pronouns I and we can exist in the speech of elder folks on equal terms
• We add infinitive of the main verb

It will be alright!

We need Future Simple to speak about:

• Our intentions (not pre-arranged intentions and plans)
• Decisions that were made in the moment of speaking (I will/I think I will)
• Offer of doing something for someone (I will do it for you)

1. I’ll do it for you. – Thank you, you will help me.
2. Will you work in the afternoon? – I don’t think so.
3. He says he will not eat; he dislikes fish.
4. She won’t answer even tomorrow. Look at her: we can’t make her change her mind.
5. We think we will not (=won’t) go there with you. We have a lot to do at home.
6. They will come at 7 pm they say.
7. You won’t like this idea tomorrow: you will need to have more rest.
8. Do you think this will not be a good house?
9. Next week I won’t remember my plans if I don’t write them down.

Other ways to say something in Future:

1. Present Continuous (previously arranged action):
   You are visiting Paris next month. – Yes, we are leaving for Paris on the third of January.
2. Construction “to be going to do something”:
   I am going to make a cake for you.
   Aren’t you going to do it without my permission?
3. Present Simple (scheduled actions):
   The shop opens at 9 am.
   The bus comes at 9.15.
4. Construction “to be about to do something” (action in future):
   Oh, my cake is about to explode!
   He is about to take off.
5. Construction “to be on the point of doing something” (action in the nearest future):
   They are on the point of pushing the button!
   Your cameras are on the point of touching their faces!
